Texas pride and Utah bound.
Well the last couple of weeks have been very eventful for the crew here at King Krunch Racing. After getting back from the relaxing week of displays and shock mishaps in Myrtle Beach the team got to work on getting ready for the next show. Thankfully it would be a local one for us. League City, Texas native and long time monster truck fan Michelle Stockton, was like the countless others who signed up for the Monsters on Mainstreet promotion brought to you by Monster Jam and Ford Trucks; the only difference is she won.
So for this occasion the officials at Monster Jam and Ford trucks contacted David and asked if he would like to participate in this event and show not only his local support but state wide pride for Texas. King Krunch Racing was more than happy to participate and go along with the Build Ford Tough theme. The folks at Houston Sign received the 2008 Ford F-series Super Duty early in the week and by Thursday night King Krunch was officially a Ford. The festivities started in downtown League City at League Park where they held an autograph session with a meet and greet for the whole town to enjoy. When that came to a end the trucks lined up and parade for more than a quarter mile to a designated location where they would be tired down and put back in the trailers.
Michelle Stockton and family would continue on to the cat fish house where the Monster Jam crew and drivers all enjoyed dinner together. The race was held in King Krunch’s local stomping grounds at Houston Motorsports Park. The show went off without a hitch with some good close racing and an even more exciting freestyle exhibition from everyone in attendance.
The next week would bring the preparation for one of our bigger shows in the summer time, Rocky Mountain Raceways’ Clash of the Titans in Salt Lake City, Utah. With the stellar lineup in store for the next weekend the team prepared the trucks and returned Daron’s truck back to the El Matador by popular demand. The new jack was completed in all that maylay and it looks and works great. Daron and Jake are on their way to Utah for a Friday display, North of Salt Lake City.
