Hit me again Ike
I know what Tina Turner always felt like. Ike slaps pretty hard and he just kept coming. We had the week before the storm off so we had a little time to prepare for the big storm. Daron and I moved all the light stuff in and put all the tires in our neighbors shop to keep them from blowing away. I sent Jake out t get plywood and to find an apartment. The Taj Ma Krunch is a fine establishment but it is not hurricane rated. He found himself a nice apartment and once the paperwork was done Jake and I spent about 5 minutes and moved all his stuff to the new place. Very spacious if I do say so myself, kinda hard to fill a new place with just a bed.
Ike came in and it turned out being pretty bad. But when all was said and done we all made out okay. The shop was still there and the roof was still on. Needless to say pretty much everyone lost power, some of us still have no power. I think Jake beat us all he only lost power for few hours, Daron was next and me and the shop are still in a race to see who gets second to last.
Daron and Jake work in the dark all week to get the trucks ready to go for our little mini tour. Our first stop is in Easton, Texas for a freestyle show then we are off to Wenatchee, WA for the Monster Nationals, an then Red Bluff for the West Coast Nationals and our last stop will be in Lakeport, CA for the last stop on the tour.
Check back as Daron and Jake hit the road and give updates from the road.
