Well our first show is on the books and although we didn’t come away with a win we defiantly came away with some more good memories and renewed sense of what it is going to take to stay on top of our game.

Daron’s truck had a few bugs with the new engine but we hope we got them worked out. Daron’s says his truck has more power at half throttle than it did last year full matted to the floor. We are making a few changes to get him everything the engine has. Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled for him this year Daron will be tough to bet once he gets used to the power. Daron laid down a great freestyle run for the home town fans setting the bar and holding the top spot for a good while. When we asked Daron what he was looking forward to the most this year he said “I have enjoyed working for David and Melody with Flame and know that they do everything they can to keep the trucks in top condition. With the new engine and parts I hope that both the trucks are in the top of the field every week. I would love to make it to the finals this year and show everyone that Flame Motorsports is a force in the industry.”

David’s truck did great qualifying in the top of the field. The truck broke a sway bar in the round against Air Force and David had to pull it back down to keep the truck from rolling, costing him the race, The new headers sound killer, they also changed the trucks power range completely. David also put down a great run for all the Houston fans, he was able to finish third with only Digger and Thunder finishing ahead of him. We also asked David what he was looking forward to the most and he said “I think this is going to be one of our best season’s ever. We have worked our tails off and feel that the trucks are in top condition. Daron and I (mostly Daron) have gone through and made sure everything was tops to start and we are ready to run them hard and put on the best show we can every time.”

We are off to Tacoma this week and then back to Houston for another home town show. We know that without our sponsors none of this would be possible.
